Type 2 diabetes during holidays: Learn how to control it


Keeping type 2 diabetes under control, during holidays, might seem very challenging because we tend to put too much emphasis on food and eating.

However, if you have type 2 diabetes, you should not look at it as a burden. Keep in mind that with a bit of planning ahead, you can be ready to face all the temptations and still enjoy your time with family and friends....

Here are some recommendations from the American Diabetes Association.

(1) Keep a decent level of physical activity: Holidays are not a good reason to stop physical activity. Go for a walk with your family after eating of play some Frisbee or badminton with the kids after eating.

(2) Catch up with family and friends: Try to focus on friends and family, not food. Play games, or spend more time outdoors enjoying the weather together....
